Frequently Asked Questions
What is the age policy?
At Nova Pioneer, we are very intentional about ensuring that each student achieves their full potential, and all of our policies are designed with that impact in mind. The Nova Pioneer Age Admission Policy is non-negotiable. It is designed to ensure that none of our students are at a disadvantage in their personal development.
The admission age to our Play Group is age three turning four by March 31st in the year of enrolment. Therefore, students are admitted to Pre-Primary 1 in the year that they turn four, while Pre-Primary 2 students are only admitted in the year that they turn five, and so on. This age must be confirmed by a birth certificate.
What Curriculum does Nova Pioneer follow?
Our students enjoy the flexibility of investigative learning through the Kenya National Curriculum (CBC and 8-4-4) and the Cambridge Curriculum (Year 7). Nova Pioneer has developed its signature approach to learning that incorporates techniques used by the most forward-thinking schools globally to develop critical thinking, problem solving and key 21st century skills. Our enquiry-based learning approach is student-centered to ensure our students feel empowered and prepared to lead.

However, parents applying for a spot in Secondary have an assessment fee of KES 1,500 to be pay once a student is scheduled for an assessment. This fee is non-refundable. This is due before attendance of one of our Open Days or Campus Experiences. Results from your child's assessment shall not be released until the payment is processed and proof of payment has been sent to the relevant admissions officer.
Once your child has been accepted, you will be required to pay a non-refundable notice deposit to secure your child's seat.

Each campus offers compulsory co-curricular activities, and some optional, that are included in the school fees. These activities vary on every campus and usually take place during school hours. Please see your specific campus of choice to see what activities are offered for free.
In addition, Nova Pioneer works closely with a number of external vendors who provide specialised activities which come at an extra cost.
