September has been another exciting month for PE and sport at Nova Pioneer! It has been wonderful to see our learners getting active, developing new skills, working together, and, most importantly, enjoying themselves through sport.
PE UPDATE
Term 3 Amaven PE programme continues to give learners from 000/Grade R to Grade 7 the opportunity to explore different movement skills and sports.
Over the past few weeks, learners have been developing skills through activities such as:
* Bouncing and catching
* Jumping and kicking
* Multi-skills development
* Swimming
Swimming remains an important part of our PE programme, giving learners the opportunity to develop their water confidence, movement skills and physical fitness in a different environment.
⚽ SPORTS UPDATE – NOVA PIONEER PAULSHOF SOCCER TOUR
Nova Pioneer Paulshof Under 11 and Under 13 boys recently had an exciting opportunity to represent Nova Pioneer at the Discovery Camp Soccer Tour from 23–26 September 2026.
It was a fantastic four days of football, teamwork, learning, and making memories together.
🏆 Under 11
Our U11 boys competed against 16 teams and finished 8th in the group stages, earning themselves a place in the Plate Cup. They went on to finish 4th in the Plate Cup.
The boys showed great resilience and continued to compete and improve throughout the tournament.
🏆 Under 13
Our U13 boys had an outstanding tournament, finishing 4th overall out of 16 teams.
With a smaller squad and some U11 players stepping up to help complete the team, the boys showed incredible commitment, determination and tactical discipline. Their performance was something to be proud of.
But the tour was about more than just the results. The boys also enjoyed indoor soccer, game drives and team-building activities, giving them opportunities to build friendships, leadership skills and team spirit.
👏🏽 Well done to all our players!
Throughout the tour, the boys represented Nova Pioneer with pride. Their discipline, attitude and respect for officials, opponents and the hosts were commendable, both on and off the field.
A big thank you to our parents who travelled to support the teams. Your presence, encouragement and support meant a lot to the boys and helped create a great atmosphere throughout the tour. 💚💛
🌟 CELEBRATING YOUNG TALENT
We are also incredibly proud to celebrate Njabulo Mahlangu, one of our young footballers who is taking an exciting next step in his football journey.
At just 9 years old, Njabulo has already shown a real passion and commitment to football. After joining MSSS Ormonde last year, he went on to represent the U9 Ormonde Sharks and U10 GUFC this year.
His performances in the MSSS Super League and MSSS World Cup caught the attention of coaches and scouts, and his hard work has now earned him a call-up to the U9 Mamelodi Sundowns Soccer Schools Junior Academy. ⚽
This is a wonderful achievement and a great reminder of what can happen when young talent is supported by hard work, discipline, perseverance, and a genuine love for the game.
💚💛 Congratulations, Njabulo! Keep dreaming big!
