Nova Pioneer May Sports Update

A Month of Action, Energy, and Achievement!

May was nothing short of electrifying across Nova Pioneer campuses, with our Junior and Senior Schools bringing the heat to fields and courts across the region. From thrilling league matchups to spirited tournaments, our Novaneers proved once again that talent, teamwork, and tenacity run deep in our schools.

Junior School Highlights

The month kicked off in full swing, with Nova Pioneer Ruimsig (NPR) and Nova Pioneer Northriding (NPN) competing fiercely in the Small Schools League. Each match brought energy, unity, and growth as our young stars sharpened their skills and team dynamics.

One of the standout events was on May 17th, when Ruimsig hosted a Soccer and Netball Festival that had spectators on their feet. The day was packed with action, enthusiasm, and community spirit as our budding athletes showcased their talents.

Nova Pioneer Ormonde is making a name for itself in the Johannesburg South Small Schools League and added another highlight by participating in the St. Declan’s Soccer and Netball Tournament. The cherry on top? Our boys brought home silverware, proudly representing the Novaneer spirit with pride and determination!

Meanwhile, Nova Pioneer Midrand turned heads with an impressive performance during a U9–U11 Netball Friendly hosted at Reddam House. The young netballers brought energy and elegance to the court, showing just how much promise the future holds.

Senior School Highlights

The momentum didn’t stop with the juniors—our senior school athletes were just as unstoppable!

Ormonde’s Senior School has been a strong contender in the Johannesburg South Small Schools League, giving their all in every match. Our NPR teams took part in a massive Soccer and Netball Festival at Curro Meridian Cosmo City, delivering powerful performances even though they just missed out on the finals. The experience was a testament to their grit and growth.

The excitement continued on May 24th, when Nova Pioneer Midrand hosted a thrilling Top 4 Soccer and Netball Tournament. The day was packed with fierce competition, close scores, and sportsmanship at its best!
