Africa Day is an annual commemoration celebrated on May 25th to mark the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963. Africa Day serves as a reminder of Africa’s struggle against colonialism and oppression, and it celebrates the achievements, diversity, and potential of the African continent.

In this episode, our host and alumni, Jabu Mtwa, talks to Nova Pioneer Ormonde Primary students about Africa Day and why it is important that we celebrate it as Africans.
