Welcome to the Nova Pioneer Foundation Need-Based Bursary Application Form.
This form is designed for applicants who wish to apply for the Nova Pioneer Foundation's Need-based Bursary Programme. We are delighted to offer this programme as part of our commitment to providing accessible and quality education to deserving students in South Africa.

Before completing the bursary application, we kindly request that you review the bursary terms and conditions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the offerings and requirements associated with the bursary. Familiarising yourself with these terms will enable you to make an informed and accurate application.

This form will require you to provide the following information and attachments:
- Applicant information
- Student information
- Household income and expense details
Attachments required:
- Copy of identification documents for both parents/guardians (either a national identity card or passport with visible passport number).
- Proof of income (most recent payslips OR the latest 3 months’ bank statements for self-employed parents/guardians).
- A stamped school fees letter/account statement from the student’s previous school.
- A copy of the unabridged student’s birth certificate and/or proof of legal guardianship where applicable.
Upon submission of the required information and attachments, the Nova Pioneer Foundation will review and verify the provided details to facilitate the bursary assessment process. The outcome of the application will be communicated to the family via the email address provided.

In certain cases, the foundation may contact the applicant or family for additional information or clarification via email. It is important that such requests are responded to promptly. Failure to provide the requested information within the given timeframe may result in disqualification due to incomplete information.

A PDF copy of an unabridged student’s birth certificate*

If the parent listed on the child's birth certificate is deceased, please provide supporting evidence such as a death certificate where the copy of the ID is requested. Where the student is under the care of a guardian, the applicant is required to additionally provide either a court order, a notarized parental consent affidavit, adoption order or foster care order to prove legal guardianship.
