2027 Transitional Fee Credit Terms and Conditions
1. Overview
Nova Pioneer has undertaken a review of its long-term fee scaling structure across grades with the intention of creating a more manageable fee progression for families over the course of their child’s schooling journey.
As part of this restructuring, revised fee scaling will be implemented from January 2027 across applicable Nova Pioneer schools in South Africa.
In certain grades, particularly Grade R and Grade 1, transitional adjustments to fee positioning may result in larger-than-historical grade-to-grade increases for some families. To support affected families during this transition, Nova Pioneer will provide a once-off transitional fee credit for eligible families in the 2027 academic year.
2. Effective Date
2.1. The revised fee scaling structure will take effect from January 2027.
2.2. Published 2027 fee schedules already include the confirmed annual fee increase applicable for the 2027 academic year.
3. Transitional Fee Credit
3.1. Eligible families will receive a once-off fee credit equal to 10% of 2027 tuition fees for the applicable student.
3.2. The fee credit applies for the 2027 academic year only and will not continue into future academic years.
3.3. The fee credit applies to tuition fees only and may not be applied toward:
- Enrolment fees
- Aftercare
- Extracurricular programmes
- Transport
- Uniforms
- Stationery
- Any other non-tuition charges
- Fees in arrears
4. Eligibility
The transitional fee credit applies only to the following categories of families:
4.1 Current Nova Pioneer Families
Current Nova Pioneer families with a child progressing into:
- Grade R in 2027; or
- Grade 1 in 2027
provided that:
- the student remains enrolled for the 2027 academic year; and
- the family account remains in good financial standing.
4.2 Newly Enrolling Families
New families enrolling a student into:
- Grade R in 2027; or
- Grade 1 in 2027
will qualify only where:
- the family paid the required spot-held enrolment fee prior to the public release of the 2027 fee structure in May 2026; and
- the student and parent successfully completes the admissions and enrolment process.
5. Application of the Fee Credit
5.1. The transitional fee credit will be applied directly to the family’s tuition account for the 2027 academic year.
5.2. The method of application may vary depending on the selected payment plan:
- Monthly payers: credit distributed proportionally across monthly tuition invoices
- Termly payers: credit distributed proportionally across term invoices
- Annual payers: credit applied against annual tuition invoicing
5.3. The fee credit:
- is non-transferable;
- may not be exchanged for cash;
- may not be deferred to future academic years; and
- may not be transferred between students or sibling accounts.
6. Financial Standing
6.1. Families must remain in good financial standing with Nova Pioneer in order to retain the benefit of the transitional fee credit.
6.2. Nova Pioneer reserves the right to suspend, reverse, or withdraw the fee credit in the event of:
- overdue accounts;
- breach of enrolment or payment terms; or
- withdrawal from the school during the 2027 academic year.
7. Admissions & Enrolment Requirements
7.1. All enrolments remain subject to standard Nova Pioneer admissions requirements, including but not limited to:
- space availability in the requested grade;
- completion of all required documentation;
- grade readiness assessments where applicable; and
- affordability and financial clearance processes.
7.2. Receipt of the transitional fee credit does not guarantee admission or continued enrolment at Nova Pioneer.
8. Withdrawal or Cancellation
8.1. Should a student withdraw prior to or during the 2027 academic year, Nova Pioneer reserves the right to:
- recalculate the applicable tuition charges; and/or
- reverse any unused portion of the fee credit.
8.2. Any refunds will be processed in accordance with Nova Pioneer’s standard enrolment and cancellation policies.
9. General Conditions
9.1. This transitional support initiative is intended as a temporary measure linked specifically to the 2027 fee restructuring process.
9.2. Nova Pioneer reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this initiative where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
9.3. Participation in and receipt of the transitional fee credit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
9.4. Nova Pioneer’s decisions relating to eligibility, application, and administration of the fee credit shall be final.
